Roxya Terms of Use
Effective date: 8 October 2026. Version 1.6 of 2 November 2026 (section 9: Roxya trains its own models on the workouts you log, never on health data, and you can object; section 10: what you may not copy or reproduce, including with an AI system, and our text and data mining reservation). Version 1.5 of 31 October 2026 (section 3: a direct message that reaches no notification on your phone is e-mailed to you, without its words). Version 1.4 of 31 October 2026 (section 6: the launch offer is no longer offered to new web subscriptions; a subscription that already has it keeps it). Version 1.3 of 29 October 2026 (section 6: the web subscription's free trial lasts 3 days instead of 7). Version 1.2 of 28 October 2026 (section 6: the Roxya Coach tiers by name, each with a monthly coach budget instead of a number of messages; web subscriptions through Stripe with a 7-day free trial, the launch offer and cancellation in one click; section 5: the coach's question topics counted as anonymous totals; section 3: Roxya news is sent through Resend, from Ireland, instead of Infomaniak). Version 1.1 of 26 October 2026 (section 9: your profile and sessions are visible to other members by default, and how to hide them). Version 1.0 was updated on 14 October 2026 (section 5: the coach's AI providers), on 20 October 2026 (the subscription is cancelled from your signed-in account; Roxya news by e-mail, section 3), on 21 October 2026 (the Roxya Coach tiers, section 6) and on 22 October 2026 (Perplexity, sections 5 and 7).
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Roxya is provided by Aurélien Ferlay, an individual trader, Rue de la Combe 11C, 1196 Gland, Switzerland (contact@roxya.app, +41 76 561 55 75), called "Roxya", "we" or "us" in these terms.
These terms apply to the Roxya app for iPhone, the Roxya app for Garmin watches, the Roxya Coach subscription, the Roxya connector for AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Perplexity) and the Roxya server they use (together, "the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these terms. How we handle your personal data is explained in our privacy policy: https://api.roxya.app/privacy.
When you download the iPhone app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA) applies in addition to these terms. When you download the watch app from the Connect IQ Store, Garmin's terms apply in addition. Where they conflict about the licence to use the app itself, the store's terms prevail.
2. The Service
Roxya helps you train and race in HYROX-style fitness racing: you build workouts, plan your training, record sessions on your iPhone or your watch, follow your metrics and, if you wish, share with other athletes.
Roxya is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by HYROX, Apple, Garmin, OpenAI or Anthropic. HYROX and the other names mentioned are the trademarks of their owners.
We keep improving the Service and may change, add or remove features. We tell you in advance of a change that materially reduces what a paid subscription gives you.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, or older where the law of your country sets a higher age (for example 15 in France, 16 in Germany). If you are a minor, buy a subscription only with the agreement of your parent or guardian.
- Give accurate information, keep your password to yourself, and tell us at contact@roxya.app if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- An account is personal: one person per account, and it cannot be transferred.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app's settings. Deleting your account cancels a web (Stripe) or Google Play subscription automatically, before your data is erased. It cannot cancel a subscription bought through Apple: cancel that one yourself in Settings › your Apple ID › Subscriptions (https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions); see section 6.
- Roxya news. With your account, we e-mail you news about Roxya: new features, important changes to the Service, and training content, from news@roxya.app through our e-mail provider Resend (sent from Ireland). It is on from sign-up; you can stop it at any time, free of charge, in Settings › Notifications › E-mails or with the link at the bottom of each of these e-mails. Messages about your account (codes, security notices, subscription confirmations) are not news and still come.
- Messages by e-mail when no notification reaches you. When a member sends you a direct message and no notification can reach your phone (push notifications are off, or you use Roxya only on the web or on a watch), we e-mail you that they wrote, with their handle and a link to Roxya, never what they wrote. At most one e-mail per conversation until you open it, and three a day; none from a member you blocked or who blocked you, nor when message notifications are off. It is on by default; stop it at any time in Settings › Notifications or with the link at the bottom of each of these e-mails, which stops only them.
4. Your health and safety
HYROX-style training is physically demanding. Before you start or step up your training, and in particular if you have a medical condition, an injury or symptoms, are pregnant, or have not trained for a while, see a doctor.
- You train at your own risk and you decide what you do. Adapt loads, distances, intensity and volume to your level and condition, warm up, use equipment safely and follow the rules of the venue and of the event.
- Stop at once and get medical help if you feel chest pain or pressure, unusual shortness of breath, dizziness, palpitations, faintness or sharp pain.
- Roxya is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Heart rate and the other figures from your watch, your iPhone or Apple Health can be inaccurate and must not be used for medical purposes.
- Nothing in the Service is medical, physiotherapy or nutrition advice. Roxya does not replace a doctor, a physiotherapist or a qualified coach.
5. The AI coach and other AI features
Roxya is an AI and can make mistakes. Consult a professional if in doubt.
- Roxya Coach and the connector for AI assistants use artificial intelligence: for the in-app coach, Claude, by Anthropic, for its answers (chat and workouts built from a photo) and OpenAI's models for dictation and voice messages and, under the current permission, for an answer when Claude is unavailable, or OpenAI's models for all of it if you gave the permission the first version of the app asked for; and the assistant you connect: Claude, by Anthropic, ChatGPT or Codex, by OpenAI, or Perplexity, by Perplexity AI. What they produce (answers, analyses, plans, workouts, transcriptions) is generated automatically and can be wrong, incomplete or unsuited to you. Check it before you rely on it: you remain the one who decides whether to follow it.
- The coach proposes workouts and changes to your workouts, plan, race date and training figures on a card, and nothing is saved until you confirm it: check the card before you do. A workout it archives can be restored. An assistant you connect and allow to change your account applies its changes directly: check what it did.
- The AI features are not for emergencies and do not take account of anything you have not told them.
- Do not send them other people's personal data, or information about yourself that your training does not need. Send only photos and recordings you have the right to use.
- Before the coach first uses your health data, the app asks for your explicit consent. You can withdraw it at any time; the privacy policy explains what is sent, to whom and for how long.
- To improve the coach, we count the topics of the questions it answers as anonymous monthly totals for all athletes, never the text or who asked (see the privacy policy).
6. Roxya Coach subscription
- Roxya Coach is an optional, auto-renewable subscription that gives access to the in-app AI coach. It comes in tiers, named in English in every language. Each tier gives a monthly coach budget: an amount of AI use, larger in the higher tiers. It is not a number of messages; the app shows what is left of it as a gauge.
| Tier | What it is for | Monthly | Yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Roxya without the coach | free | - |
| Roxya Coach Starter | Now and then | 4.90 | 49 |
| Roxya Coach Plus | Every week | 7.90 | 79 |
| Roxya Coach Pro | Real planning | 9.90 | 99 |
| Roxya Coach Elite | Train like a pro | 14.90 | 149 |
| Roxya Coach Max | For coaches | 24.90 | 249 |
- The amounts are list prices in Swiss francs (CHF), taxes included; the price you pay, in your local currency, is shown in the app, by Apple or by Stripe before you confirm the purchase. A yearly subscription gives twelve months of access, billed once at ten times the monthly price.
- The monthly budget. Each answer of the coach uses part of the budget, according to the AI work it takes: a long conversation, a photo, a file, a voice message or a web search uses more than a short question. A reply to a message that points to a medical emergency, a message the coach could not answer and the messages the coach sends you on its own use nothing. The budget starts again each month on the day your subscription started (every month, also for a yearly subscription); what is left does not carry over. When the budget is used up, or what is left is too little for one more answer, the coach stops answering until it starts again and tells you when; you can move to a higher tier. If one answer goes slightly over the budget, you are never charged for it. Technical limits against abuse also apply.
- Changing tier. A higher tier (or yearly instead of monthly) applies at once: its budget applies immediately, and you pay the difference for the rest of the current period (Apple's and Stripe's prorating). A lower tier, or the free tier, applies at the end of the period already paid; until then you keep your current tier. Choosing your current tier again before that date cancels the change.
- Earlier offers kept. A subscription bought before 21 October 2026, at the then single price (Roxya Coach Pro, CHF 9.90 a month), keeps its price and its 600 messages a month while it stays active without interruption, instead of a monthly budget. If you change tier, or if the subscription ends, a new subscription follows the current offers.
- The coach's free trial without a card, which gave a small coach budget once per account, is no longer offered to new accounts. An account that started it before 28 October 2026 keeps what is left of it until it is used up or the account subscribes.
In the iPhone app, through Apple
- The subscription is bought and billed through your Apple ID by Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- It renews automatically each month (each year for a yearly subscription) unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- To cancel, open your iPhone's Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, or manage it from your account in the App Store; in Roxya, Settings › Subscription › Cancel subscription opens that same Apple page (https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions). Deleting the app or your Roxya account does not cancel it, and we cannot cancel it for you. After cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period already paid.
- If Apple offers a free trial, Apple decides who is eligible, and your Apple ID account is charged for the first period when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused part of the trial ends when you buy the subscription. During the trial the coach runs on a reduced trial budget, shown on the same gauge.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms (https://reportaproblem.apple.com). We cannot issue refunds ourselves. Your statutory rights are not affected.
- Price changes: Apple tells you before a new price applies and, where required, asks for your agreement. If you do not agree, the subscription ends at the end of the current period.
On the web app (roxya.app), through Stripe
- On the web, we sell the same tiers and Stripe, our payment provider, processes the payment. You enter your card on Stripe's pages: we never see your card number.
- 3-day free trial. A web subscription starts with 3 free days, for every tier, monthly or yearly. A card is required, and it is charged for the first period at the end of the trial unless you cancel before. Nothing is charged during the trial. We e-mail you when the trial starts and again 2 days before it ends, with the date and the amount of the first charge and the link to cancel. There is one trial per account: an account that has already had a Roxya Coach subscription, on the web or through Apple, gets none. During the trial the coach runs on a reduced trial budget, shown on the same gauge; the tier's full monthly budget starts with the first payment.
- Launch offer: closed to new subscriptions. A new web subscription pays its tier's list price from the end of its free trial. A web subscription that already started with the launch offer keeps it: it costs 50 % less than the list price for the first 12 months, also if you change tier or period during them; after that, your tier's list price applies. If you cancel, the discount ends with the subscription: if you subscribe again, you pay the list price.
- It renews automatically each month (each year for a yearly subscription), charged to your card at the end of each period, until you cancel it. After each payment we e-mail you a receipt. If a payment fails, we tell you by e-mail and Stripe tries again; the coach's next month starts only once the payment goes through. You change tier in Settings › Subscription, signed in to your account.
- To cancel, in one click: Settings › Subscription › Manage Subscription (in the app or on roxya.app) opens Stripe's page for your subscription, where you cancel it at once, and every billing e-mail we send carries a link to that same page. You can also cancel in Settings › Subscription › Cancel subscription, signed in to your account. After cancelling, you keep access until the end of the trial or of the period already paid, and you are not charged again; we confirm at once by e-mail, with the date and time we received it, when it ends and a reference. Deleting your Roxya account cancels a web subscription automatically, before your data is erased.
- Refunds: write to contact@roxya.app. A refunded payment ends the access it paid for. Your statutory rights are not affected.
- Price changes: we tell you by e-mail at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription. If you do not agree, cancel it before then; it ends at the end of the period already paid. For a subscription that has the launch offer, its discount applies to the new price during the offer's months.
- Right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer living in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you can withdraw from a web subscription within 14 days of subscribing, without giving a reason, by cancelling it or by writing to contact@roxya.app. The free trial lets you try the coach first: cancelling during it costs nothing. At checkout you accept these terms and ask that the subscription start at the end of the 3-day trial, before the 14 days are over; if you withdraw within the 14 days, you pay for the days already used, and we refund the rest of what you paid.
For every subscription
- If we stop offering Roxya Coach, we stop renewals and tell you in advance; refunds for a period already paid follow Apple's terms for an Apple subscription, and the law. For a web subscription, we refund the part of the period already paid that we can no longer provide.
7. Connecting an AI assistant
- You can connect Claude, by Anthropic, ChatGPT or Codex, by OpenAI, or Perplexity, by Perplexity AI, to your Roxya account through the Roxya connector (https://api.roxya.app/connect). On Roxya's own page you choose whether the assistant may only read your data or also change your workouts, plan and profile.
- Anthropic, OpenAI and Perplexity AI are independent providers. Your use of their assistants is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for what an assistant writes or for how its provider handles what it reads.
- What an assistant does in your account at your request counts as done by you. You can remove a connection at any time in the app (Settings > Integrations) or in the assistant.
- Section 5 applies to these assistants as well.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- post or send anything unlawful, harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit or violent, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- impersonate anyone, mislead other athletes, spam or advertise;
- promote doping or dangerous practices;
- post other people's personal data or images without their consent;
- copy, decompile or reverse engineer the apps beyond what the law expressly allows, scrape the Service, access it by automated means other than the connector as designed, get around its security or limits, overload it or introduce malicious code;
- use the AI features for anything other than your own training, or try to make them produce prohibited content or reveal their instructions;
- resell or exploit the Service commercially without our written agreement.
You can report content and block athletes in the app. We review reports and may remove content, limit features or suspend accounts (section 12).
9. Your content
- What you create in Roxya (workouts, sessions, notes, posts, comments, photos and videos) remains yours.
- You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, copy, process and display it, only to provide the Service to you and to show it to the people your settings allow, for as long as it is in the Service and then for the time backups are kept.
- You are responsible for what you post and confirm that you have the rights needed, including the consent of the people who appear in your photos and videos.
- Your profile (name, @tag, photo, bio) and the sessions you save or sync are visible to other Roxya members by default, as on Instagram or Strava. Heart rate is hidden by default and your GPS route is never shown to others. You can make your profile private at any time in Settings › Privacy › Private profile (then only followers you approve see your sessions), make one session private from its menu, and choose which details others see in Settings › Privacy › Shared sessions.
- We do not use your photos, videos, notes, posts, comments or coach chats to train any AI model, and no other company trains its models on your content through us. Unless you object, we use the workouts you log in Roxya's apps (exercises, sets, loads, times, distances and pace, never health data, Apple Health or Garmin Connect data, or your position) to train and test Roxya's own models, as our privacy notice explains; you can object at any time in Settings › Privacy › Use my workout logs.
10. Our intellectual property
The apps, the website and everything in them — their design, screens, texts, pictograms, workouts and catalogues as we present them, their data structure, their code — and the name and logo Roxya belong to us or to our licensors. They are protected by copyright, by the law against unfair competition and by trademark law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the apps for your own training, within these terms and the store's terms.
Unless we agree in writing, you may not:
- copy, reproduce, imitate or adapt the apps or the website, or their screens, texts or design, in whole or in a substantial part;
- use screenshots, screen recordings, content or outputs of the Service to design or build — or to have a person or an artificial-intelligence system design or build — a product that competes with Roxya or is substantially similar to it;
- extract content or data from the Service by scraping, crawling or other automated means, except through the connector as designed (section 7);
- use content of the Service to train, fine-tune or evaluate an artificial-intelligence model;
- decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the apps, except where and only as far as the law expressly allows it;
- use the name Roxya, our logo or a sign likely to be confused with them.
We expressly reserve the use of the content we make available online for text and data mining, including for training artificial-intelligence models, within the meaning of Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790. This reservation is also expressed in machine-readable form on roxya.app.
None of this limits your rights over your own content and data (section 9): you can export them and use them, including with an assistant you connect (section 7). Ideas and feedback you send us may be used freely, without any obligation towards you.

11. Other providers' services
The Service works with services of other providers, such as Apple (App Store, Apple Health, notifications), Garmin (Connect IQ, Garmin Connect), OpenAI and Anthropic. Their terms apply to those services, and we are not responsible for them. Data you share from Apple Health is used only as described in our privacy policy.
12. Availability, suspension and termination
- We do our best to keep the Service available and your data safe, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or that it is free of errors. Maintenance and incidents can interrupt it.
- You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
- We may suspend or close an account, after warning you when that is reasonable, if it seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect other athletes or the Service. We tell you why, and you can contest the decision by writing to contact@roxya.app.
- We may stop the Service with at least 30 days' notice. If we close your account or stop the Service, you can first export your data from the app's settings where that feature is available, or by writing to us.
13. Liability
- The Service, including its metrics and AI features, is provided as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we give no guarantee that it suits a particular purpose or that its figures and AI outputs are accurate.
- You are responsible for your training decisions. We are not responsible for injury or harm resulting from training you choose to do, except where caused by our fault and the law does not allow us to exclude it.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for slight negligence, nor for indirect damage, lost profits or lost data. Where the law does not allow this exclusion, our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical of this kind of service.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for intent or gross negligence (art. 100 of the Swiss Code of Obligations), for death or bodily injury caused by our fault, or any other liability that mandatory law, in particular consumer and product liability law, does not allow to be excluded or limited.
14. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for a valid reason, such as a new feature, a change in the law or a security need. We tell you in the app or by e-mail at least 30 days before a material change applies. If you do not agree, you can stop using the Service, delete your account and cancel your subscription before the change applies; if you continue to use the Service after that date, the new terms apply. A change never affects a period you have already paid for. Corrections that do not affect your rights apply straight away.
15. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by Swiss law, without its conflict-of-law rules and without the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer living in the European Union, the European Economic Area or elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
The courts of our domicile (Gland, canton of Vaud, Switzerland) have jurisdiction, except where mandatory law allows you, as a consumer, to sue or to be sued in the courts of your own domicile.
16. App Store terms
When you use the iPhone app downloaded from the App Store:
- These terms are between you and us, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Your licence allows you to use the app on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules of the App Store Terms of Service, including Family Sharing.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to a warranty that applies, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the app.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for any claims relating to the app or its use, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- If someone claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with the terms of third parties that apply when you use the app, such as your mobile operator's.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
17. Contact and general provisions
- Questions, complaints and notices: contact@roxya.app, +41 76 561 55 75, or Aurélien Ferlay, Rue de la Combe 11C, 1196 Gland, Switzerland.
- If a provision of these terms is invalid, the rest remains in force, and the invalid provision is replaced by the valid one closest to its purpose. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
- We may transfer this contract to someone who takes over the Service, after telling you; you can then end it at any time.
- These terms exist in English and in French. Both versions are binding; in case of doubt, the meaning more favourable to you applies.
